Message: W6RK does not allow you to enter mode when you spot a contact, only frequence. Historically, I have use designated the FCC designated band plans to provide some guidance as to what the mode is based on this band plan. When I originally built Logger 2, FT8 and FT4 were not significantly used, and I depended on the person spotting to include either the phrase FT8 or FT4 after the county in W6RK to identify the mode if it was not SSB or CW. Since there is a band plan for these modes, I am adding this information to better identify FT8 and FT4.
This caused me to review my original band plan for separation between CW and SSB. This was easy for all bands except 160m. The problem is that 160m allows any mode anywhere are the 160m band. Originally, I arbitrarily selected a frequency of 1900 kHz as the separation between CW and SSB. Since I do not operate 160m, I want to know if there is general agreement of a boundary between CW and SSB. I know the digital band plan.
