Message: Thanks for all the contacts so far. We got very lucky with the weather for the eclipse, but got heavy rain on Tuesday. And then beautiful weather on Thursday for running 15 counties in NE Texas.

I'm sorry I haven't been able to do more than 20 meters, but I can't retune the antenna while driving. I have been using the optional long whip with the Little Tarheel II, which adds a bit of gain, but also makes tuning on the higher bands very touchy. Starting Friday, I am going to use the smaller whip, which should make it easier to tune to other bands. I could use a few self-credit contacts on 30 meters. No promises.

We are in the home stretch now. The exact route is yet to be decided, and depends on weather and how quickly we want to get home. We do plan to stop at the Eisenhower museum in Abilene KS (Dickinson County) on Sunday.
