The Pros at running counties are able to provide and exact date and the counties to be run that day. I’ve never been good at that so I’ve quit trying. I have listed the counties I plan to run and their order. Even in the past I’ve not always been able to follow my own published list, so bear with me. I hope to start each day about 9AM local and will run until I get tired or find an appropriate place to stay, hopefully no later than late afternoon. I will let all know when I am QRT. I also plan on doing some siteseeing so I may disappear for a few hours. I hope to run all that I have listed but if it gets close to Convention time I will cut and run. There are 2 counties toward the end of the list that are nos 1 and 2 on my ‘To Run’ list—Franklin and Lemhi, Id. I am down to 24 for MG and these are 2 of them so I would very much appreciate a MG contact in each. My goal is to run as many county lines as possible, running 40, 20 and 17 SSB. I will do everything possible not to run a county mobile. Used to do this and it scares me now!

Headed to the National with my wife. I have listed the counties I plan to run thru and their order. The first two days I will probably not run at all and only try to make contacts with other mobiles due to running hard to get clear of close states that I can run anytime. I have checked the needs list and find almost no needs for I-75 and I-70 which will be my route until Colorado. E-mail me if you have a specific need on the interstates. I hope to start each day about 8 AM but more likely 9AM local and I will run until I get tired or find an appropriate place to stay or the wife says it’s time to stop for the day. I will let all know when I am QRT for the day. My plan is to run hard to Colorado and then spend time there until arriving at the convention Thursday afternoon or evening.

When I get to Colorado I plan on running lots of counties, until I run out of time and hot foot it to the convention.

I hope to run 20 and 40 and depending on time other higher bands. SSB mostly. If I see a Park it might draw me in for a short stop. I operate a lot of digital from the mobile and will do that if in a park. We will be sight seeing also so there may be gaps. Also I will have APRS in my vehicle on the trip, na8w-2 if in range of vhf.
